Focus on documentation and the billing of services
Fredrik Edholm is referring to the long-term and carefully planned development of Skövde’s municipal IT system. An important part of these efforts is to obtain a comprehensive picture of the IT infrastructure and service commitments. Skövde chose to start off with our Infrastructure Management, Finance Management, and Contract Management modules. But Fredrik Edholm is open to trying more Qondoc applications: “Initially, though, we will be focusing on the documentation of our IT infrastructure, and the efficient charging and billing of services within our own organization as well as external clients and contractors.”
With the future in sight
Our Qondoc All-In-One system offers potential for the future. Fredrik Edholm would like to expand beyond inventory and charging and billing capabilities: “The next step involves our service catalogue, our CMDB, and license management. These three areas are not included in this initial phase, but we have decided to go with Qondoc here as well to support these processes.”
Reference groups
By working with some of our other clients, Fredrik Edholm has explored the potential of our modules. “This has helped us get familiar with the system. Even if we might not use the Qondoc modules in the exact same way, we have studied how they work in a municipal IT environment. Support will also be improved by features such as graphic visualisation of the IT infrastructure, which will allow us to see the exact location of various items and their task load.”
